Easilift Come to the Rescue for Major Supermarket Chain

Postat de A Munt la Mar, 02/11/2020 - 15:19

After a devastating fire at one of our customers sites Easilift Loading Systems were called in to help them get back up and running …here’s how we came to their rescue…

Day 1

A small fire broke out on site

Day 2

The fire had completely consumed the building, and with a busy holiday period looming our client needed a plan…and fast!

Days 3 - 27

Once the fire was completely out and the relevant key stakeholders met to assess the situation a decision was taken to build a temporary facility in the extensive lorry/van park opposite the site was luckily untouched by the fire.

By utilising the existing vehicle wash building they could extend the building by attaching a freestanding insulated structure complete with two integrated Double-Deck Scissor-Lifts which would create the possibility to store and distribute goods.

Day 28

Easilift Loading Systems attended the site, surveyed, designed, and started the process of manufacturing everything required to build two self-supporting Double-Deck Scissor-Lift Pods, complete with sectional doors, inflatable dock shelters, power and lighting.

Day 56

A team of six Easilift Loading Systems engineers arrived onsite along with a first delivery of the steelwork.

Day 58

The skill, knowledge and effort of the team combined together to ensure that the steelwork for both pods A & B was place

Day 67

The plan was to complete pod A by the end of the day, and by 18:15hrs pod A was indeed complete!

Day 70

Attention and efforts then turned to pod B which was planned to receive the first delivery at 02:15hrs on a Thursday. The team worked tirelessly to achieve the deadline and by 18:00hrs the day before the pod was complete.

Day 71

An Easilift Loading Systems Engineer was on site at 02.00hrs to cover any unforeseen issues with the first overnight deliveries, and by 08:00hrs six lorries had successfully been offloaded without a hiccup. A hectic day followed but at 17:45hrs all was complete a day ahead of schedule!!

Day 72

The morning consisted of tea, cake and a tidy up and at 11.15hrs the Loading Systems team headed home for some well-deserved rest.

TESTIMONIAL – Construction Project Manager

“We did it, and successfully offloaded our first trailers at 02:15 this morning and started van despatch at 05:30.

This was a massive achievement for us all completed in exactly five weeks from the first activity on site. It would not have happened without your initial design, procurement and manufacturing activities, even without having an order from us.  Whilst not to belittle these activities and good will, if it weren't for the absolute dedication, professionalism and assistance provided by the site team we'd have struggled.

The core installation team of Mark Flynn, Stuart Shuker and Kevin Clark have performed admirably with an unwavering focus on the target.  They were ably supported by their colleagues but led the way, all the way through.

I would like to think that this project has been as successful for you as it has been for us, and the team will be rewarded for their skill, dexterity and proactive approach to all foreseen and unforeseen tasks.  The result is outstanding.

Thank you from me and all key people involved.”

TESTIMONIAL – Rob Fay - ELS

"I’m still blown away by the amount of work our guys have done in such a short time. Also the quality of what they have achieved has not been compromised despite the extremely short programme they were given.

I’ve been working for Loading Systems for 18 years during which time we’ve achieved some great things and whilst we’ve delivered some of the UK’s biggest loading bay packages I think this project has to be one of the best we’ve ever done!!"
